Lawsuits and threatened actions are more prevalent in the Human Resources arena than in any other area of business. In Ontario, the laws and regulations are intricate cumbersome and often seem counter productive in the pursuit of business growth. Many business owners run afoul of these regulations and pay dearly in time and money. This review will include:
- Hiring practices and contracts of employment
- Occupational Heath and Safety compliance and related practices
- Practices with respect to legislative requirements such as: working hours, overtime and vacation pay
- Workplace policies and manuals to determine compliance with applicable laws
Process: A member of Employment and Labour Law legal team will undertake a review of your workplace policies and procedures, comment upon compliance with various Ontario and Federal workplace regulations and then discuss their findings with you and your corporate officers.
